Just to echo all the previous comments; my Classic is now on its third power supply. If you know the voltage and amperage the device requires and the specification of the connector (you do now!) then sourcing a replacement power supply is pretty straightforward. Here in the UK we can order a compatible switch mode PSU from Amazon for the equivalent of about 15USD, for next day delivery. So don't give up hope :)
