Agreed, there's nothing at all anachronistic about wired networks. I'm a very happy SB2 & SB3 owner. I'll probably buy at least one more and I'll continue to recommend them to friends. I've also used a Sonos setup (I currently have their 1500$ starter kit on loan) so I think I can compare the two fairly. Sonos takes a different approach to positioning their product than Slim Devices does, I don't think either approach is absolutely better, it's just a matter of what fits for any given customer. For me, it's the Squeezebox, for JJZolx' co-worker, it sounds like he'll be happier with the Sonos. I wouldn't begrudge anyone their choice of consumer electronics and being tribal about such things is the true anachronism here.
