Re: the standby issue. This is a selling point in the Qnap specifications and I am keen to make sure that it does work or will be fixed if it doesn't. I have two drives that operate in this way and on a point of principle would like to reduce my power consumption and noise (and prolong the life of the drive) wherever possible.
