the PC.  dBPowerAmp is one option.  It will play files in the "cool
kids" flac format and also convert most anything to most anything else
you might want.  There is a small charge for the MP3 encoder, if you
want that, because the author is one of about three people on the
planet actually to pay the patent royalty.
