Like you, I now use the Squeezebox exclusively, so I really don't need all these jewel boxes laying around taking up room.
I recently started putting all my CD's into Jewel Sleeves. These things are really great. I looked at lots of different sleeves. Here's why I like 'em: 1) They are padded and seem to protect the disc well. 2) They have room for the CD booklet and the tray card.
