I still have shedloads to do but in case anyone is interested I'm uploading an early (I haven't even named it yet) version of my new skin.
"Now playing" is working and so is "Browse artwork". Everything else is pretty badly broken. If you have a PocketPC running Windows Mobile 5.0 then I recommend using IE in Full Screen mode with Default layout and Medium zoom. Failing that it does work on IE 6.0 on Windows XP (it doesn't really look right but you get the idea how it works).
