We know all that you answered. Unfortunately, we do not want the Slim Server : too special, too specific and we cannot rely on such a specific software to handle hundreds of equipments, with backup process etc...
If the SB3 is not able to accept specific URLs entered locally or through a direct interface (telnet) we won't validate it for deployement. Unfortunately. What we request is a very simple thing that the SB is able to do for sure, with perhaps a piece of code ! We understand that the policy SD is to use the SB with the SS and not without.
