My first post here so be nice, - or not ;) I've seen many here having SB3 + DAC1 + maybe a preamp. In that comparison, this one is cheap.
So let's await how it sounds. But, to me this is an important device, it is one of the first preamp that uses stored files as input instead of digital streams (like spdif etc). ( I guess there are more, but atleast Yamaha have introduced receiver with ethernet connectors for playing audio files. ) For me this how a preamp should be designed in this millenium. And then add a proper power amp behind it. Now, to fit me, remove the VU meters, add the other channels to make is a HT-amp, and lower the price ... ;) just my 2 cents ...
