Hi everyone, After reading the "other" thread about slow scanning speeds I started thinking that my scanning times weren't normal or to be expected.
First my setup: SS 2.3.1 (8468) running on Win2003 SBE SP1, 512MB RAM, P4 1.6Ghz. Music is stored on a 300GB USB2 drive connected to a Linksys NSLU2. All connected to a 100mb switch. All music is MP3 from 128kb to 192kb VBR. Currently have approx 12,500 tracks and 900 albums in the format: \artist\album\track. SS has the UNC folder name of \\server\music as it's location for the music files. I have nothing set for playlists as I don't use these. A full scan takes 2-3 hrs and a rescan takes about the same. I've just kicked off a full scan with the d_scan debug switched on and can see the log.txt updating but to be honest have no idea what to look for to see if there's a problem.
