I get this at the start of some of the MP3s I ripped with "Riptastic!" (I didn't use it for long as I soon decided it was a rubbish application). These files will play fine from a PC - they only make this noise when played via SS. I haven't raised a problem on this before, as I'm in the process of re-ripping everything to FLAC anyway. When I find one of these, I just replace it with a FLAC version.
