If she's building a new house, have all the rooms wired with multiple runs of Cat6 cabling. I'd also put in more traditional whole house audio wiring in case the Squeezebox idea doesn't work out.
Then forget the "NAS" idea and locate a small server computer in the basement near the low voltage wiring junction. With wired SBs and a server of sufficient power you could run a couple dozen Squeezeboxes. But Squeezeboxes really aren't designed for whole house audio, IMO. You can do it, but depending on the design, it can be expensive or else require bizarre wiring schemes. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30663 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
