Er, no, you are doing more than even the Pioneer marketing dudes would
dare say.

Even here, "restore to CD level" is not justified by Pioneer's marketing
or known engineering.

If you like it, great. but its not a realistic requirement for
SlimDevices' or any other group of engineers.

The reality of lossy compression is that it loses sound. Period.
You can argue that what is lost is not important, and millions of iPod
users prove that it is not important to them. The best you can do it
recreate some of the quality of the original music. To get it all, you
have to use lossless.

I don't care to get into a discussion of whether or not is is good
enough for you, that is a personal choice that you and only you can
make. From an engineering point of view, what you have claimed is not
substantiated. Further discussion is not going to change that.
