Good points. Apple's done well for a reason. As for me, I just don't like itunes. I've never really managed to figure it out. Also, I fundamentally don't trust Apple. I don't think they're the devil, but when it comes down to buying gear for myself I'd rather have something more flexible that meets my needs precisely.
