Hi, Maybe this should be posted to Squeeze network - but as I am not sure...
I am having problems connecting Squeeze Network. Sometimes I can connect immediately, sometimes I never connect. After much testing and checking with Slim Devices Tech support, it appears to be an ISP issue. Most evenings I can not connect to Squeeze Network, but generally during the day it is ok. This appears not to be a traffic bandwidth limiting issue, but a response time issue. When the Squeezebox has resolved the Squeeze Network IP address, it sends a packet to connect and of course expects a response. It would seem that this response is taking too long, as the SB ignores it and then sends another packet. During the day of course the response is immediate and SN fires up on the SB. I do not know what the SB timeout is waiting for a response from SN. My ISP is Tiscali in the UK (West Wales). I would be interested to hear if anyone else is experiencing this or similar problems with their ISP.
