My Transporter is hooked up directly to a 300w Bryston power amp (always on). My hifi is usually set very loud and although I get a noise as I turn the Transporter on and off it's by no means loud and causes me no real concern (I'd prefer it if it was quiet though). I wonder why the difference? MC
