I don't think the taxes etc have anything to do with it as since it was released it was available here for £1300 everywhere and that included the free SB3. After a while the free SB3 deal went but prices were still £1300. It was only after the Logitech deal that prices rose to £1700. Tax hasn't gone up in the last year (I don't think anyway) and if it did it would not make the price rise by 30%
Also I think it's a bit unfair to the guys at Slim for saying that they released a product that didn't work or wasn't ready and to suggest that they hadn't tested it is completely silly. The digital input problem only started when FW31 was introduced, long after the Transporter was first released. -- MikeFish ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MikeFish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12860 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37730
