You could download Netstumbler, this utility will tell you of any other wireless networks you can pick up. It will also tell you what channels these other networks are on. So then all you do is change your channel to a number as far away from their channels as possible. Try various channels because it also gives signal strength of your own channel once connected, so you can then tune your network to the strongest channel.
