I've created m3u playlists with Winamp and they played OK with SS. The problem that vnjeep has in the referenced thread is that somehow SS was told to look in the wrong place for the created M3U file. There has been no follow up giving info on what is causing the misdirection.
The file names in the M3U file must have either a full path (no drive letters if on network servers) or paths relative to the Music folder setting in pref.
