I guess it's quite similar to the picture frame idea mentioned earlier in the thread.
A modular setup with separate parts feels like a very good idea where these parts/modules could be easily package into different configurations: For example: 1. Configuration for the audiophile - Display module - Playback module (without DAC) 2.
