Don't forget that in the US "a deal is a deal". Many US resellers have restocking fees that apply if the customer decides to return his unit.
This does not hold true for many countries outside the US. For instance in Finland, any seller must BY LAW take back a consumer unit for FULL REFUND if the product is returned within 14 days. Restocking fees are generally unheard of in Nordic countries (and in Europe in general, AFAIK). All returns will be a burden on the seller. Consequently, the margins must be bigger than in the US.
