I have FreeNAS/SlimNAS running on a fanless ITX MB, with 4 SB's hanging off it. It's has real snappy performance.
If it is a commercial NAS product, my bet would be it was purpose built with little headroom for 3rd party add on applications. -- sfraser 2 Chan.
