One more thing I should add. At the time I was evaluating rsync.net, I also surveyed the various rsync-to-S3 gateways/sites/scripts that existed. But none of them were production level quality and none of them ran on our FreeBSD servers. (They all worked on Windows or Linux.) rsync.net was the only place that allowed us to use the native rsync(1) from a BSD box.
