I took this from help and it works real with VO.
Scheduling your computer to turn on or off automatically
You can schedule your computer turn on or off or go to sleep. You
might do this if you want to be sure your computer turns off when you
aren't working and turns on before you come to work.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Energy Saver.
Click Schedule.
Select the options you want to use.
To schedule a start up or wake up time for your computer, select the
"Start up or wake up" checkbox. Choose a day or group of days from
the pop-up menu, then specify a time.
To schedule a shut down time for your computer, select the bottom
checkbox and choose Shut Down from the pop-up menu. Choose a day or
group of days from the pop-up menu, then specify a time.
To schedule a sleep time for your computer, select the bottom
checkbox and choose Sleep from the pop-up menu. Choose a day or group
of days from the pop-up menu, then specify a time.
Your computer shuts down automatically at the scheduled time if you
are logged in. If you are not logged in, your computer will not shut
down at the scheduled time.
