Thanks Travis. That sounds like something. I am planning on
maintaining and improving the app as long as people find it
useful...so looking for ideas like this for the longer term.
Supporting some tagging for voice changes, expression, etc. sounds
very reasonable and useful.

Hey, while you're taking feature requests, ...
Can we get a multi-voice option?
Basically, what I'm after is this.
Use victoria for female parts of text, use Bruce for male parts,
and use Fred for general narrative stuff.
Ok, so maybe not in that order/combination, but if we could change
them on the fly, for highlighted portions of text, it would be
really cool. Of course, I could obtain the same result using
hijack audio pro, and cutting and pasting as necessary to do what
is needed, but it sure would be cool to be able to put notations
into the text, to make it do things like that.
Think of it as a pie in the sky request. If all else is done, and
you're bored and looking for something to do to one of your
programs, then that'd be the time to add that feature. *grin*

Sure thing. Sounds like a feature that makes sense for the
application.

Oh, and thank you for adding my request to the pile of stuff. I
realize that would mean another release, but I still really
appreciate it. I'll be so happy to get rid of books2burn at that
point <smile>.

Actually, I need nagging. It's a deadline week so I haven't
gotten to it quite yet. Yes, pretty much the only thing left to
do is compile and update the docs.
As for the requested feature...sure, that can be done. It would
probably take me a couple of weeks to get it done since this is
a bit of a side project but I have added it to the requested
feature list.
Again, apologies for the delay in getting the new version of the
Cocoa Speech app up.

Hey there. Was the new version of this app posted yet and I
missed it, or does it still need compiling?
I am not tryin gto nag, I'm just curious.
There is one other improvement that I have thought of--the only
reason I still use books2burn.
Books2burn lets you divide the file up into multiple audio
files based on size or keywords. So,m when I want to turn aan
etext into a audio book and it's all one file, I put Chapter,
or whatever the keyword is, into that field, check the checkbox
that says chapterize, and away you go.
Would this be possible to add into coco Speech?
Just thinking aloud here. The less software I *have* to have
on my computer, the better.
