It seems to me that the only reason Apple will care to continue developing VO is if they have something to gain, financially speaking. So, one way to maximize the probability that they will continue to improve VO is to compile, and provide apple with, statistics about the number of potential users. They might listen more closely if this was done by a group representing large numbers of blind people. Those of you with greater experience in the blind community probably know better than I who this group might be.

It's not that they are going to discontinue the project, but rather feel it's 'good enough' so no further resources need be allocated to it's development.


I did not say, I heard they were going to cease development. But I do feel there is enough concern to express to apple, our desire for continued support.

It's a shame that some people feel they have to flame when they don't agree.
