No, I didn't write anything about the stinking alt attribute (my last message is below). Jaws and Window Eyes will by default read the title attribute on textual links, especially if it is longer than the linked text. This can help around those ambiguous click here links, but few authors use title attribute anyway. VoiceOver does not know this trick. Hmm, should someone submit a feature request?
