If I understand this question correctly and I'm not sure I do, When you are composing a message and go off to do something else and then come back to it, you must interact with the html content and navigate to the bottom of the text or to whereever you want to ad text. If you have saved a message, you will find it in your drafts folder and a similar approach applies.
