Progress Indicators When Installing Programs

Hello, I have writtten to Apple with suggestions in future releases of 
their operating systems, to incorporate progress indicators when 
installing programs so that we can know how far along our installations 
are, similar to what they do with their updates.  I find that some 
programs are easier than others to install; whether it has to do with 
Apple scripts, I don't know, but it would be, for me personally, very
