I am about to release DTBmaker 2.5. Below are the major improvement to it.

1. At Lynn Leith (from the DAISY Consortium) suggestion I have added a feature to automate making book files from a collection of audio file. Here is how it will work:

        A. Place all the audio file for your book into a single directory.
B. Name the files in such a way as they will be in the correct playable order or example 01.mp3, 02.mp3 03.mp3 and so on. This is the order that they will be played in the book. C. Choose the "Create Book File" menu item and select the folder with your audio files in it. DTBmaker will convert your audio file to the required WAV format. It will move the WAV files into a directory, move your original files into another directory and create a book directory and place into it a DTBmaker book file. Finally it will select this file as your book file in DTBmaker and return you to the main DTBmaker screen ready to have you fill in the various field and make the book.

A couple of points to remember. You must select either Cepstral Silence or another Cepstral voice when making the book. DTBmaker assumes each audio file to be a Level 1 chapter and marks them as such. You can edit the book file that DTBmaker produces before running it in DTBmaker. You could, for example' change the chapter titles from Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc to something else.

2. Support for images. Images should be in either <p> or <imggroup> tags and must have alt tags. The standard HTML image tag is used. The Image files themselves must be in the same folder with the book file or in a directory with in that directory.

3. Improved support for making books from NIMAS files. Picture are now handled.
