I tested a whole range of braille note taking devices against a Mac with Mark/Space software's MissingSync for Windows mobile installed. The PacMate and the BrailleSense were both fully compatible, by that I mean that they show on the desktop as an external drive and using MissingSync they were able to sync their address books, calendars, mail and other such files with the Mac's standard applications.

We were able to move files between the two, in the case of the PacMate we were able to take a Louis braille file, move it to the PacMate and then read it with the braille display. We were able to read and write file directly to the PacMate and as if it were an external drive.
