There seems to be somewhat of a split personality at Freedom about the Mac some seem happy to work with it while other act as if Apple the the enemy.

The fact is that while cooperation of the makers of braille display would be helpful in making the drivers needed in the Mac it is not absolutely required and Apple engineers could support any device with or without the consent and help of the manufacturer.

Hi Justin,

When i spoke to Freedom Scientific at Sight Village here in the UK, I was told that Apple had been in touch, and that they were discussing various options. Also, I was told that some of the FS Braille line is supported in some flavours of Linux in some fashion.

Take care

Hello

I think it is doubtful that pacmate or anything to do with FS will support leopard braille. I get this from my experience at NFB convention, when I asked a couple reps from FS and they confidently said no, that there would not be voiceover support for their focus line of braille displays or pacmate displays. .
