Here's how I remapped my keys: When your turn your machine on,
VoiceOver will, if it recognizes that you have a different keyboard,
prompt you to press the key to the right of the left Shift key; hold
it down for a second or two, then it will give you several choices.
If you have a 101 or 102 keyboard, tab or arrow down till you hear
VoiceOver say, "Okay, button." Press the spacebar. The only
problem I have is that the up and down volume controls are not
registered. Also, I have a question: If you don't know the
manufacturer, what is the default setting, or is there one? I never
used it; I chose the type of keyboard I have. Apparently some
keyboards will not even register the up and down volume controls for
the Mac. Another question I have is, is it possible to remap a
keyboard that has already been mapped, to make changes? Richie
