I have used it to rip three movies and convert them to MP4 H.264
This allows me to transfer the whole movie to my wife's CreativeZinn
M. My question is that the movies take about three hours to get
finished. I want to know is their a quicker way to rip them using
Hand-Break? Will changing the codex to something else make a
difference?On Oct 14, 2007, at 3:11 PM, Steven M. Sawczyn wrote:
But Handbrake only does the file conversion doesn't it? I mean it
doesn't actually rip from the DVD? On the handbrake site, they
talk about Mac the Ripper which seems to do that first piece.

Handbrake is free and open source. There is no trial, no demo.
You can just use it without any cost.

Yeah you are right, but my wife is depending on me dyeing to
collect the insurance money. (just joking). Another thing, can
you tell me how their free trial works? I downloaded it but
didn't know if it will last for 30 days with full features or if
it does a half of a movie to show you that it works.

Hand-break is VO compatible and will do what you want but you'll
be long gone from this world before you ever get 3900 DVD
converted with it. IT just take too long to do.

Hey guys and girls,
I have a project for my family and I wanted some advise. I have
3900 DVD's and I need to rip and convert them to MP4. I was
inquiring to see if Hand Break is VO compatible? I need to
archive them for later. Also does Hand Break remove the copy
protection?
