Hi Everyone

Upon further investigation of not being able to get to my iPod options, I discovered that my iPod was not registered. I was informed that I'd have to get sighted assistance to do this, but I've actually just figured out a way to do it without sighted assistance. Here's how (note: this does involve the use of iTunes for windows to get the first part done):
• Hook up your iPod to windows, and launch iTunes.
• Use whatever mouse navigation your screen reader provides to navigate to your iPod in the source tree, and click it. I'm not sure if you'll be able to do this with NVDA or not, as its mouse navigation seems to be limited at the moment. • Now, what happens next depends on how your iPod is configured. If it asks you to sync, choose either yes or no (it won't matter in the end). Otherwise, the iPod registration options should appear on the right hand side of the window. Simply click done, these settings won't matter in the end. • Now, navigate to the restore button and click it. Follow the dialogs to restore and/or update your iPod. NOTE: this will erase all data currently on your iPod, as well as updating the iPod software, if applicable. Once that is done, the registration pain should appear again. Click done. You now have two options. If you want your iPod to remain formatted for Windows, you can simply plug it into the Mac and use it. However, this means that OS X will not be able to update your iPod software, and you'll have to connect it to windows to do that. It will retain compatibility with Windows PCs, though. On the other hand, you can get it formatted for the Mac (this is what I did) which will render it incompatible with Windows, but give iTunes full functionality. Here's how: • Connect your iPod up to your mac and locate it in the sources table. Navigate to the iPod options and click restore. Follow the prompts (looks familiar, doesn't it)? • Now, the handy little trick. Following this, your iPod will be at factory defaults and you'll appear to be back where you were before... but locate your iPod in the sources pain again and press return twice. This should register your iPod. If you want to change the name of your iPod you can do so, after the first press of return you should be in an edit field with the current name prepopulated. Change it before pressing return the second time. Alternatively, of course, you could set the name on the Windows PC before you restore it the first time. The other options that the registration window asks pertain to synching, and as these can be changed later you don't need to bother with them here.
Hope this helps, fellow iPod users let me know if this works for you
