Any ideas? Steve
Try though I might, i can't seem to get this to behave correctly.
Here's the problem.
I have my messages grouped into threads. I can then sort the threads
from newest to oldest or oldest to newest by hitting vo+| on the date
received column. When I open a thread, however, I'm always put on the
newest message in the thread. This makes no sense as obviously you'd
want to read a thread from oldest to newest. OK, maybe not obviously,
but to me, it makes sense to read a thread that way, so you see the
original post and then the follow up posts. So, I figured that from
within a thread, I would just click the date received column again.
This had the effect of resorting my messages, but again, the wrong
message gets selected. Just in case this has any bearing on anything,
I arrow down my message table and when I find a thread I want to read,
hit right arrow to expand it. I'm then placed on the newest message
of the thread, the wrong one. Am I doing something incorrectly here,
or is this really the correct behavior? I can expand a thread and
then arrow up to the top message in the thread, but this is a real
pain, especially if the thread has tons of messages in it. I tried
looking in help, but except a vague explanation on what group by
thread actually does, didn't see any specific info on sorting messages
within threads.
