Hi there, I guess I'll broadcast my ignorance for everyone to read but, I have not tried a BT keyboard yet. When you said it worked with windows, it answered my 1st question. I just purchased a MacBook Pro but I still have a few PC boxes left. So I need this thing to work with every member of my computer zoo. Also is the reverse true? That is, can I purchase, say a think outside keyboard and fulfill my 3d dream of using it with my Mac, my PC's and my Motorola Q cell phone? Yeh, maybe I'm pushing it a bit!
Can we pair and unpair the keyboard without any intervention at the computers we want to hook it up to. What I'd want is to be able to pair it to the Mac, then, if I need to, pair it to a PC. Do we have to acknowledge the new device at the computers or can I lazily switch from one computer to another just by using the BT keyboard. And while talking about keyboards, it is true indeed: the USB keyboard from Apple is quite sexy. The guy at the Apple store I went to yesterday told me that their wired keyboard could not be connected to a PC because it would turn into an AZERTY. I didn't think his theory made much sense so I'm running this by you guys so you can share your musings with ignorant little me. I'm sending you this message via my PC still, but using my Mac to read my email is my next step... I'm a bit scared though because, I have a few high-traffic lists I'm subscribed to and, if not properly handled, I'll lose control easily. I'm assuming there are features to handle this stuff with Mac's email client? Can I build rules to put messages in different places based on the sender or other criteria just like the rules provided in Outlook? Sorry for digressing off the topic on the subject line.... \Cheers to all from Varennes, Qc Canada. Like the other newer keyboards and notebooks, we are minus the virtual numpad but this 11" long wonder is good to type on with large keys and well marked f and j keys. I'm thinking I might just get a little numpad to go with it. It is light and almost too small to use on your lap but it works nicely on a small table or aircraft/train tray. It'll drop nicely into my new macbook pro backpack. The biggest gripe I have against it is that there is know way to independantly determine its power state. The disk shaped button to switch power presses but does not indicate with any non visual feedback whether you are powering or unpowering the keyboard. Also, one other thing to watch out for. when you are putting in the batteries, the posts should be face down. I had them facing up figuring it to be like most devices I've seen but that was opposite their correct orientation which is powsts down. I'm happy to answer any questions I can an hope this helps someone. -- Jonnie Appleseed With His Hands-On Technolog(eye)s Reducing Technologies disabilities one byte at a time No virus found in this incoming message.
