Hey David, Yeh, I knew this poor soul was a bit off the mark. AZERTY is one of the nicest ways to confuse people when it comes to typing:-) Try it and, I guarantee you, any ego-boosting opinions you might have had about your typing skills are going to go south and fast.
Seriously, it refers to the letter placement on the 3rd row of the keyboard. We use Q W E R T Y but some folks in Europe (and maybe elsewhere in the global village) use this A Z E R T Y configuration... Thank you for your comforting thoughts about email. I'm about to jump... And while talking about keyboards, it is true indeed: the USB keyboard from Apple is quite sexy. The guy at the Apple store I went to yesterday told me that their wired keyboard could not be connected to a PC because it would turn into an AZERTY. I didn't think his theory made much sense so I'm running this by you guys so you can share your musings with ignorant little me. dp: an azerty, now, I've never heard of that but I can tell you that I use my Apple usb keyboard with my Icon (pda) all the time with no problems. I'm sending you this message via my PC still, but using my Mac to read my email is my next step... I'm a bit scared though because, I have a few high-traffic lists I'm subscribed to and, if not properly handled, I'll lose control easily. I'm assuming there are features to handle this stuff with Mac's email client? Can I build rules to put messages in different places based on the sender or other criteria just like the rules provided in Outlook? dp: Apple mail is highly configurable in this regard and you will find it a joy to work with.
