Hi Olivia,
No, you most definately will not need sighted assistance to re-install
the OS. Just put the DVD into the drive, and hold down the C Key. It
will take some time, but I think you can let go once the DV starts
spinning.
Once things have quieted down turn on VO. If you are using a laptop
you will need to hold down the FN key along with Command F5.
Hope this helps

Hi Everyone,
My computer has been having some problems finding my wireless
network, and apple suggested that I reinstall OS 10 to see if this
corrects the problems (we know it's not a problem with the airport
router itself because other computers on the network can talk to the
base station with no problem) Apart from this little glitch te
computer is running with no problems, but apple still suggested
installing leopard again after walking me through the basic things
that could be wrong to no avail. My question is, can I install
leopard indipendently with Voiceover, or will I need some sighted
help?
I have been really pleased with apple's technical support as I try
to figure out this issue, they have been helpful, they even
dispatched a tech to take a look at the problem... If reinstalling
the operating system doesn't work, I will take my computer to the
local apple store and see if I've got a hard drive issue.
Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone can give me! If you have
any tips on reinstalling OS 10 please feel free to share!
