Hi, Eric. I use Gmail all the time, and it's relatively easy to set up, if you're goig to use either pop3 or imap. You have to use port 995 for your incoming server, and this swill be automatically set when you select to use an SSL connection. The port for the outgoing server is 465. You also have to use SSL on that one as well. I hope this is helpful, and if you need more help, just add me to your SKype if yo use that, and I can help you further that way!
