that explains why the nano and classic are the same price (or at least they were both $249 but I suppose the nanos might have come down?) I have more than 16 gigs of music, etc on my computer so went with the classic. Hopefully it will be around for a while. :)

To be honest, at this point although flash drives are coming down in price, your still looking at $1,000 or so for 64Gb and probably not that much less for a smaller drive. The thing is they won't do it unless it's reasonably affordable. Why turn out a 20Gb or even 40Gb iPod that is flash drive-based if it'll cost the consumer $500 or more dollars. This is just my speculation of course.
