Every time you go to a cell, it gives you its position and what is in the cell. It does not tell you what title you have given a column or row, it tells you what column and row number you are on and the contents. Ie B12 or A 25. You have to remember or write down what each column/row means to you. you interact by selecting a cell and then just type in the information or equation you want and press return. Same with delete, you go to the cell, press delete and return. All actions are voiced so you know what you are doing. It is 100% accessable with VO. Vickie Weir.

But how can you interact with/edit the material in each cell? This didn't seem possible in the way I would have expected (i.e. interact with the cell, as in tables).

Does Voiceover also read the cells like A1 and A2 while navigating through them? Or does it only read the text inside the cells?

Hi all.

I'm really sorry if this has been posted here before.
I have just downloaded the newest beta of Open Office. The spreadsheet is now accessible. Voiceover reads what cell you are in. This is totally awesome. Now we can do spreadsheets on the Mac. When you open the Open Office application and look in the file menu, you'll see all the applications have shortcut keys like command t for text edit. Again, I'm sorry if this has been posted on this list before. My Mac was send to Apple to be repaired for some weeks ago then the new beta came out, so i didn't checked my mail very often.
