Let me guess... you just updated to 10.5.5?
Don't be too concerned. My suggestion is as follows:
1. Go to apple and download the combo updater for 10.5.5
2. Install the combo updater.
3. Repair disk permissions.
If you still have the problem, ping again.

Hey All, to those whom are more familiar with
this sort of thing, I just ran permissions
repair and got the following, that (at a glance)
concerns me. -Any thoughts?
Warning: SUID file
"System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/OwnerGroupTool"
has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "usr/bin/lppasswd" has been
modified and will not be repaired.
Permissions repair complete
