Hi,
The unthinkable happened yesterday. I noticed something brush against
my hand as I moved my hand off the keyboard and then, after looking
closer, I noticed a whole strip of plastic had come off the front.
Now, I'll get this fixed soon.
This is a very common issue. Apple has said that only under warenty
Macbooks qualify for repair, though is isn't uncommon for people to
argue that Apple had a design flaw, so you can get it fixed that way.
The problem is that when the metal magnetic clips that hold the lid
close come down, they slowly wear out the plastic. Some of the newer
white Macbooks don't have the problem as Apple corrected the issue.
But if it does happen, you can get it fixed by an Apple Autherized
dealer free of charge.
I just thought I'd pass this on.
Thanks for listening,
Alex,
