I just got mine back today. I did the following. Wen to the store las
Saturday. They looked at it, ordered the part. Then, they E-mailed me
last Thursday, asking me to bring it in. I took it in yesterday and
got a call the same day to pick it up. I was just busy, or else I
could have picked it up last night.

Last night I got up to rewind an audiobook I was listening too. I
moved my
hand and found a sticking up long strip of my macbook, it wasn't
huge, but a
strip did come off the upper fronte edge of the, um keyboard area,
you know
right near where the latching bits are.
I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out what had happened
because
I've been extra careful in not dropping or banging my macbook into
anything
when transporting it. It is the white one like it sounds like you
have and
I got it back in April of this year so I don't know if it is tearmed
"newer"
or not. At any rate because of this sliver comming off I had been
looking
into covers for the macbook and plan to go dwon to our local apple
store
after the first of the year to see them for myself, the covers. And
while
there I am going to ask about this. I hope that once strips start
coming
off it isn't like a swedder that just unravels once it gets going.
Also I
hope it doesn't take forever to fix because this is the only
computer I've
got...
