That actually depends on what you decide to do with the terminal. If
you just execute commands in the shell like mv, cp, ls, cd, macports
among other things, you should be able to expect good verbocity if you
interact with the terminal. But if you try to run a terminal
application like finch, your VO output may not be as intelligible.

At the suggestion of another list member I have taken to using
OpenSSH for Windows running through Fusion. You can shell into your
Mac from an OS in Fusion by using your machine's IP address. Note,
the IP address of your Mac in OSX is different from the IP address
assigned to your virtual machine.
