Hi Mike,
I'm not sure why you couldn't get the voices to play from you page,
but try this link instead to their main voices sample page:
http://www.assistiveware.com/ivoxsamples.php?
There is a free 30-day trial download, but the software version is for
Macs. However, these are the Acapela group voices, so you can also go
to Acapela's web pages and listen to the German voices. Assistiveware
is the Mac vendor of these voices, which they also bundle into their
own products. When you purchase a foreign language voice, you get all
the voices for the language and also the Heather voice for English.
Anne, who is on this list and is a professional translator, uses the
French voices and is featured in one of the Assistiveware podcasts
that is linked on their main page.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Esther

Hi Alex,
I went to http://assistiveware.com and discovered that they do
indeed have
several German voices. However, I would like to hear the voices
before
buying them. When I clicked on the German voices, nothing happened,
nor
could I find a link on the page that would enable me to hear a
sample. Does
one need to be using a Mac to hear the voices? I shouldn't think
so, but
what do I know!
Thank you,
Mike
