I spend some time supporting Mozilla products (Thunderbird and Firefox). I see the same 'entitlement mentality' there. No personal responsibility for learning the basics, no interest in understanding some of the 'whys,' just 'gimme what I want and I want it now.'
It's a sad commentary on the current state of human behavior.
