I notice that the 're-format and re-install' mantra is being trotted out
again for Windows users. This has some severe implications for OOo's
market share as well as any other non-MS software:

As far as I know, there is no way to do an automatic re-install of non-MS
software with Windows. A lot of configurations get lost, too, if I
understand correctly. Nothing like kickstart is available for Windows.
If this practice increases it could be a way to grind of a percent or two
of OOo's market share, especially for those that have both MSO and OOo.
With all the time consumed by the restoration process, shortcuts or time
constraints will mean that third party apps and many extras get left off.
I wonder how much the recommendation is intended to affect the competition
rather than function as a work around for egregious security. Can we get
McNeally to address this as it affects StarOffice equally, instead of
bleating about the GPL?
