Maybe i should have said "pointer" instead of "cursor". If you work with
some typography 
in a small size, the pointer can hide those characters and blank spaces
between words, 
forcing to move it to assure it is the character you want or a blank
space exists. Could be 
other reasons for the existence of this property in other text
processors due the lot of 
questions asking the same.
