I have set the cursor (in Windows) to be bigger so that one with limited vision can better find it on the screen. It does take some getting used to if you do not need that. This may be the cause of your challenge. At least something to look for.

Maybe i should have said "pointer" instead of "cursor". If you work with
some typography
in a small size, the pointer can hide those characters and blank spaces
between words,
forcing to move it to assure it is the character you want or a blank
space exists. Could be
other reasons for the existence of this property in other text
processors due the lot of
questions asking the same.

Hello,

Maybe increase the zoom so the characters and spaces don't become too
small compared to the cursor/pointer?
